The skills developed in this course include the ability to identify the various components of the computer, recognize the best software for the task, and digital devices in connection with the computer. The technical terms used in the industry are presented and explained to help prepare the student for A+ certification. Prerequisite: None

The course will provide the student with the skills and knowledge needed to prepare themselves for the Network + certification exam. Students will learn how the exam is structured, how to appropriately approach and answer the questions provided, and understand the idea of PBQ(Performance Based Questions). The course also provides review of the material studied in CIS 211 and CIS 221 to enable the student to succeed on the certification exam.  Successfully passing the Network + certification exam is required to complete the course.
